Traditionally used as an accompaniment for Indian classical dance, the dholak is now used in a huge number of global musical styles. To adjust, simply move the metal rings further up the drums to tighten, and vice versa to loosen. This makes it easy to adjust at any time, even during a performance. However, once the drum has been tuned to its desired pitch, the metal rings stay secure for stable tuning.
